Our Approach

We help teams identify what to say “yes” to – and importantly, what to deprioritize – to drive the greatest growth.
We don’t claim to have all the answers on Day One. But we love to take on a challenge, and get to know a new business. We work alongside your team to unlock new ideas and sharpen good ideas. We turn your brand around, or build a new brand together. We get you focused on the big opportunities, and help you chase them down.
We can provide executive-level marketing leadership, when and where you need it. For organizations without a CMO or VP of marketing, we can fill that role on a project or interim basis. Or we can step in to lead strategic planning workshops and initiatives on behalf of executives, freeing them to focus on their other responsibilities.

Julie Ennis, Owner
Julie has 20+ years of experience in various marketing, brand, and innovation roles at companies such as General Mills, Target, and Sports Authority.
Over the course of her career, she has led turn-around strategies for large consumer brands, designed scrappy marketing plans for small under-resourced businesses, created new brands and relaunched other brands, worked cross-functionally within an R&D organization, and led teams through multiple challenging business climates.
She launched Wise Winters in 2016, fulfilling her long-time goal of running her own consultancy. Julie has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BA in Sociology from Bates College. A native New Englander, she is now based in Denver, CO.
